Julia started Yoga in 2002. Coming from a fitness background, she initially felt attracted by role models like Madonna to try yoga as a new workout.
It took her some years of intense Hatha and Iyengar Yoga practice to understand that Yoga is not about having a perfect body, but that getting toned is just a nice side effect. Or, to cite Patthabi Jois, "Yoga is an internal practice, the rest is just a circus."
Today Julia strongly believes that this is true and that Yoga goes much beyond the physical body.
Yet she still enjoys the "little circus" on the mat. And, as she likes to share things she truly believes in, she finally did her 200hrs Vinyasa Yoga teacher training in 2013 with Lance Schuler and Philipp Lemke from Inspya Yoga. Prior to that she attended many workshops by famous yoga teachers like Brian Kest, Shiva Rea, David Williams and David Lurey. She also completed a training in Thai Yoga Massage.
Her intention is be as inspiring to her students as all her wonderful teachers have been to her.
