"Yoga and meditation are the strongest offering that we can give to a pregnant woman. Through conscious pregnancy, birth and early parenting, we set the foundation for life-long health and happiness in a child.” Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa
This unique prenatal and postpartum yoga teacher training, recognised by Yoga Alliance, provides a holistic & evidence-based perspective on the natural cycles of a woman’s life from preconception to pre and postpartum, grounded in awareness and embodiment.
We have now graduated 115 teachers and would love to add you to this list!
In this 90-hour training, we bridge the gap between ancient feminine wisdom and modern birthing science, through the lens of yoga. While we explore how the Elements function during preconception, pregnancy and postpartum incorporating Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the core of this training is a rigorous review of modern birthing science. We deepen our understanding of the entire birth process with evidence-based research, focusing heavily on pelvic health optimization, core stability, and biomechanics.
Our curriculum focuses on strategically optimizing the body for birth and actively rebuilding it afterward, all supported by a comprehensive student manual cited against peer-reviewed scientific literature.
Following this training, you will be equipped with the skills and confidence to safely teach pre/postpartum yoga using trauma-aware principles, to inspire women for an empowered birth experience, to support her entrance into matrescence and to honor these sacred life passages with sensitivity, wisdom and connection.

WHY IS THIS TRAINING UNIQUE?
Most prenatal yoga trainings focus on pose modifications and safety guidelines, however this training will go deeper.
Beyond Modifications
You will learn to optimize the body for birth, not just adapt poses. This includes:
• Diaphragmatic breathing for nervous system regulation, birth, and recovery
• Pelvic health woven through each module
• Biomechanical approaches for preparation of the body
• Core training specific to pregnancy
• Mobility work and embodied movement distinct from traditional yoga
Equal Postpartum Focus
Many trainings treat postpartum as an afterthought; this training dedicates equal time to the postpartum mother:
• Diastasis recti assessment and management
• Core re-stabilization protocols
• Pelvic floor dysfunction screening and management
• Emotional terrain of matrescence and birth trauma
East-West Integration
We balance cyclical wisdom with science:
• Ayurveda and TCM for understanding the Elements during these life stages
• Evidence-based research on the entire birth process
Clinical Depth
• Content reviewed by pelvic health & birth working professionals
• Amber's background includes experience as a midwife assistant and childbirth educator
• Entire training cited against peer-reviewed scientific literature in your 220-page student manual
